Buying near Randolph: what to know
Match the home to your tour length
Instructor and staff tours often run several years, while some training pipelines are short. If you'll be here about a year, compare renting with buying before you commit.
Compare county tax rates
The Randolph area spans Bexar, Guadalupe and Comal counties. Two homes at the same price can have very different tax bills, which changes your monthly payment.
Watch for MUD and PID fees
Many new Cibolo and Schertz subdivisions add special district assessments. Ask for the total tax rate on every home.
Dual-military? Live in the middle
Schertz sits between Randolph and Fort Sam Houston, so both drives stay manageable when spouses are assigned to different installations.
